Few natural phenomena are as mesmerising as the aurora borealis. These shifting curtains of colour sweep across the polar skies, painting them in hues of green, pink, and violet. While their appearance may seem unpredictable, scientists have developed ways to understand when and where they might occur and by studying the activity levels, we can estimate the likelihood of seeing them.
NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
Report from Eldey: We had a lovely windy night that blew away the clouds and opened the sky for us to reveal the universe. Welcome to darkness, a starry sky awaits our attention! So we gaze upon the stars and adjust our eyes so we can see what Mother Nature has to offer tonight. The Northern Lights revealed themselves, first with a green glow that formed an arch and a few whips on top of Esja. It soon began to get stronger, weirder and cooler. We also saw a bit of dancing, serpenting and purple(ing). Amazing lights, amazing passengers, amazing tour!
