Few natural phenomena are as mesmerising as the aurora borealis. These shifting curtains of colour sweep across the polar skies, painting them in hues of green, pink, and violet. While their appearance may seem unpredictable, scientists have developed ways to understand when and where they might occur and by studying the activity levels, we can estimate the likelihood of seeing them.
NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
Report from Eldey: The night was amazing, there were plenty of stars above our heads and something lurking on top of Reykjavík's mountain, Esja. The Northern Lights began to show at the top and also on the side but very faint. We waited patiently and with everybody dancing to the sound of Starman they came out! There were so many arches in the sky we couldn't count, a true spectacle of what Mother Nature can offer. It was so nice we stayed a bit longer and were able to enjoy it to the fullest.
