Few natural phenomena are as mesmerising as the aurora borealis. These shifting curtains of colour sweep across the polar skies, painting them in hues of green, pink, and violet. While their appearance may seem unpredictable, scientists have developed ways to understand when and where they might occur and by studying the activity levels, we can estimate the likelihood of seeing them.
NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE | 21:00
Report from Eldey: Tonight we sailed into the bay with a bit of swell and some clouds in the sky, the forecast predicted some gaps in the sky and so we decided to give it a shot. We enjoyed the city lights and a warm cup of hot chocolate while we waited for the lights to appeared but as the time started to run out we started doubting our luck. The northern lights didn´t show up tonight but we decided to give out complimentary tickets to all of our passengers so they could try again another day!
