  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Today's whale watching tour from Reykjavík at 09:00 and 13:00 are on schedule! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00

Report from Eldey: a cold and rather windy morning in the bay. We searched amongst the islands and saw 2 different seals, one of which a definite Grey Seal, but no cetaceans sadly. All passengers were therefore given a complimentary return ticket for them to return on a tour with us for free within the next two years in line with Eldings satisfaction policy for non-sighting days.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey: The unforgiving Icelandic weather was upon us. It snowed and rained almost horizontally, but we wanted to see whales! So, we went out, the swell wasn't swelling a lot, so it was just a matter of using sunglasses to protect from the horizontal rain and snow. We sailed close to the shore of Reykjavík, trying our luck, but only a few harbour porpoises popped up for half a second. We continued to explore the sea but see nothing we did. Because of that and also because we're nice people, we gave away complimentary tickets to our passengers to have another go with us in the coming future!

Bird species seen today include:

Northern fulmar, eider duck, black guillemot, black-headed gull, great black-backed gull, black-legged kittiwake, great cormorant
