CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: A lovely day out in the water was waiting for us. There was still a bit of swell still but less than yesterday, which allowed us to explore the bay. After about an hour we started to see many flocks of birds, a good sign that means that there's food around! And bingo! We spotted a blow from a humpback whale! It was simply feeding on the fish that were around and doing several fluke dives. We took a leap of faith and headed north to another big flock of birds, and bingo again! Another humpback whale also doing the same behaviour! A lucky leap but our time was done and we went back home happy with the amazing humpbacks.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00

Report from Eldey: We went out in the best of weather. Wind blowing from the south, sun shining and a few heavy clouds here and there. All together the conditions were perfect to find the whales. We sailed out onto the bay and soon spotted the blows of 2 humpback whales in the distance. As we got closer one of the animals started throwing its massive tail out of the water and slamming onto the surface. A spectacular sight that allowed for some great photos. We stayed with the animal before we left for the other  one that was busy feeding just a few hundred meters away.  As we turned to head back to the harbor one whale started beaching and slapping its pectoral fins behind us. We could not let this opportunity pass and turned to see what was going on. We were rewarded with multiple breaches and more pectoral slapping. That shows once again how things can turn in an instant. Nature never gets boring.
