- CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 9:00, 13:00
Today's whale watching tour from Reykjavík are on schedule! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!
CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Report from Eldey: The weather was great when we went out onto the bay. Sun shining and the heavy clouds over the mountains made for a great tour. We searched around on the bay and came across several large flocks of sea birds that were feeding on fish on the surface. Normaly a good indicator, this tour there were no whales to be found around the feeding area. So we offered complementary tickets to our guests to come out another time in search for the gentle giants of Faxaflói.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: The weather was clear, sunny and cold as we went out onto the waters of Faxaflói. With the white snow covered mountains in the background we searched the bay and were rewarded with the sighting on a humpback whale! The animal was traveling and searching for food and so we got to see some nice fluke dives. It turned out to be our well known friend Banana who spend almost the whole winter in the bay close to the islands around Reykjavik.
