NORTHERN LIGHTS CRUISE l 22:00
Report from Eldey: With a kp index of 4, clear skies, and stars aplenty, we bundled up and headed out, excited to see what the night would provide. It was not too long before the northern lights started to show above the mountain Esja, and create an arch in the skies. We had consistent lights all evening! We even got to see the corona form above us and had an explosion of green and even some purple! They continued to grow and fade all evening, creating a magical show for us. After having wonderful lights, unfortunately it was time to wave the auroras goodbye and head back to port. What a really special evening on the bay.

Few natural phenomena are as mesmerising as the aurora borealis. These shifting curtains of colour sweep across the polar skies, painting them in hues of green, pink, and violet. While their appearance may seem unpredictable, scientists have developed ways to understand when and where they might occur and by studying the activity levels, we can estimate the likelihood of seeing them.
