First we admired the city lights and the Imagine Peace Tower, and then went looking for the gaps in the clouds. We waited and even saw some stars, but unfortunately, saw no lights and therefore issued complimentary tickets to all our passengers.

The northern lights were out already as we left the harbour and we were able to enjoy them during the whole tour. Sometimes as bright ribbons above the mountains and sometimes just as fade green haze in the sky, but always amazing.

With clear skies, we bundled up with some hot chocolate and admired the Imagine Peace Tower. Soon we spotted faint northern lights that exploded in green, red and purple towards the end of the tour - so we stayed a little longer to enjoy their dance.

We sailed out into calm windless seas, partially cloudy skies and could already make out northern lights above the city. After a while, they appeared in full force. One band soon turned into many and suddenly the sky was filled with bright, dancing lights.

We were quite eager to sail out as the forecast looked quite promising. The moon was (nearly) full and it had a halo around it, and while we did see very faint northern lights, the clouds were hiding them, so we issued complimentary tickets in the end.

We had a forecasted KP index 2/9, which is quite nice for our area. We sailed into the darkness as we waited for the sky to clear, and saw the glow of the Imagine Peace Tower, but unfortunately no auroras, so we issued complimentary tickets.

The northern lights were out even before the boat left the harbour, and they continued to shine bright for us throughout the tour. They were intense and dancing above mt. Esja as we stopped to admire the Imagine Peace Tower on our way home!

Right as we left the harbour, we spotted very strong northern lights appearing over mt. Esja. As we made our way closer, they started expanding! We had mostly green, with even a little red! After a while, they started crossing over the Imagine Peace Tower.

A thick layer of clouds covered the sky as we went out onto the bay, however we remained hopeful. The glow of the Imagine Peace Tower lit up the sky and we were able to see the northern lights grow into the most beautiful arches in all colours.
