Due to unfavorable weather conditions, we have decided to CANCEL the Northern Lights Cruise tonight!
This morning we had calm seas and snowy skies. We quickly spotted a blow close to Grótta lighthouse - it was a humpback whale swimming in shallow waters super close to shore. Then, a large pod of about 50-70 white-beaked dolphins appeared! The sun came out in the afternoon and we found a feeding humpback whale near Hafnarfjörður harbour!

The night started off with so much promise and we were treated to views of Jupiter, Venus, and Mars! As the evening continued, we could see glimpses of the northern lights, however they never grew stronger, so we issued complimentary tickets!
The waters were calm as we made our way towards Hafnarfjörður this morning, and right when we were getting close to the harbor, we spotted two humpback whales lunge feeding close to the boat. In the afternoon we found that the pair from the morning had split up, and we found a humpback whale (Pongo), now headed away from land and into deeper waters.

With the wind in our backs, we sailed to Hafnarfjörður and soon spotted blows right next to the dry dock - 2 humpback whales (Pongo and Calamity), lunge feeding in the shallows! In the afternoon, we had searched for quite a while before seeing a blow coming from the inside of Hafnafjörður harbour. It turned out to be one of the humpback whales (Pongo )from this morning!
Not long after departing this morning, we spotted a large pod of 30-40 white-beaked dolphins, jumping, porpoising and bow riding. In the afternoon we sailed out through the rain and saw 4 harbour porpoises as well as 2 humpback whales - and just as we arrived, one of them breached in front of us! It was quite the spectacle and completely caught us by surprise!

Our tour started under a few clouds but some gaps gave way to stars and there was a bit of aurora activity. The clouds however always seemed to be in the way whenever they were strong, so we issued complimentary tickets to our lovely patient passengers.
The morning tour saw around 3 pods of about 20-25 white-beaked dolphins. Soon enough, we also found 2 feeding humpback whales near Hafnarfjörður. In the afternoon, we found a pod of 10-12 white-beaked dolphins, a fast pod of 3-4 harbour porpoises and the same pair of humpback whales, still feeding at the harbour entrance.

We headed out with mostly clear skies. We could see various star constellations and the planet Venus. We had to wait a little while, until the northern lights decided to show up, but they were really nice to look at when they sarted dancing above us!
It was a warm, sunny morning on the sea. We quickly spotted a pod of 6-7 jumping white-beaked dolphins, a big grey seal and 2-3 harbour porpoises! A little while later we had found 2 humpback whales (one of them was Pongo)! In the afternoon we found 2 pods of 4-6 harbour porpoises and a pair of humpback whales near land!

We sailed out quite hopeful we would see northern lights, but, well… the sky had other plans. We didn’t end up seeing much of anything so we made sure to issue complimentary tickets to our passengers so they can come back free of charge.
This morning, we quickly found a pod of white-beaked dolphins that were quite shy at first, but then one of them started jumping a few times. In the afternoon we saw a grey seal eating fish at the surface. We didn't have to go much farther until we found our first pod of around 5 white-beaked dolphins - we later found another 10-12 individuals with a calf!

We headed over to the charming Hafnarfjörður harbour this morning and we were lucky enough to spot the same humpback whale we’ve been seeing for the past few days, still feeding. In the afternoon we again found the humpback whale in the same area, still busy feeding. There were big flocks of birds around it, signaling the presence of fish.
