Today we will be operating on our lovely vessel Eldey for the 1PM Classic Whale Watching tours. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tours as it is always colder on sea than on land.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Eldey:  It was a nice day to go looking for cetaceans today, the sea was a lot calmer than yesterday and very little wind. Visibility was very good, not enough to see the surrounding landscape but still very good. So spotting cetaceans in the weather today was optimal. It took us about 50 minutes to find our first encounter, two pods of 4-6 white-beaked dolphins with their calves that joined up after a while. We enjoyed their company a lot, they came very close and we could follow them for a while. Once we did leave we decided to search further offshore and saw so many birds, clusters of shags here and fulmars there just relaxing on the water all together. Unfortunately we did see any whales on this tour but we did encounter another small pod of 4 (two adults with two calves) close to land as we were just heading home. It was relatively warm today for December 7 degrees Celsius. So mostly everyone was outside and only came into the warm saloon later in the trip when it started to rain a little more. A very nice enjoyable trip today.
