In the morning, the sea was calm and it didn't take long until we found a couple of groups of 3-15 harbour porpoises before being joined by a minke whale! In the afternoon, we encountered a small pod of 3 harbour porpoises, surfacing multiple times close to the boat. We also encountered a lovely minke whale that surfaced a few times fairly close to our boat!

The forecast and all our Aurora apps were indicating lots of activity tonight, and the clouds even made way for windows of clear skies and stars. Unfortunately, luck was not in our favour tonight, so everyone on board received complimentary tickets!
This morning we sailed out into the grey with the wind in our backs. After searching for a bit, we eventually found a minke whale and 5 harbour porpoises! In the afternoon we found a total of 9 harbour porpoises and 2 minke whales but due to the short lived sightings, both tours offered all passengers complimentary tickets so they can try again some other time.

Due to unfavourable weather conditions, we have decided to CANCEL the Northern Lights Cruise tonight!
The morning tour saw 3 small pods of white-beaked dolphins, a humpback whale as well as a minke whale! The afternoon tour found 2 harbour porpoises, but we searched all around the bay but sadly spotted no more signs of any cetacean wildlife. Eventually we did hand out complimentary tickets to all passengers to so they get to join us again another day.

We set of with a gentle wind, calm seas and the skies for the most part covered by a thin layer of clouds. It didn't take too long however for the clouds to part ways and make room for the northern lights! They alternated from faint to strong all night!
The morning tour search for quite some time before eventually finding a very elusive minke whale! In the afternoon, we found at least 13 harbour porpoises throughout the tour. Due to the difficult sightings, however, both tours ended up issuing complimentary tickets. We sincerely hope to see all our guests return for a second chance at wildlife sightings!

After a few cloudy days, we finally had the chance to set sail tonight. There were some gaps in the clouds that allowed us to see some stars, but the sky remained mostly overcast, so we gave out complimentary tickets to everyone on board.

Elding tours not affected by volcanic activity
Elding wishes to reassure its guests that our tours remain unaffected by the recent volcanic activities on Reykjanes peninsula. As of now, the eruption does not pose a threat to flight traffic, infrastructure or the nearby areas in which our operations are conducted.
There was a cold breeze in the bay this morning, but with the sunshine and clear visibility we were excited to get out there. We searched far and wide, but sadly we had no luck spotting cetaceans, so we ended up issuing complimentary tickets to our understanding passengers so they can try again another day. The rest of the day was cancelled due to strong winds.

The afternoon tour had a bit of a swell today, but early in the tour we came across 8 harbour porpoises and a lot of birds, including atlantic puffins! On the way back we saw 3 more harbour porpoises, but ultimately we issued complimentary tickets in the hope for better sightings next time. All other tours were cancelled today due to rough conditions.
