About half an hour into the morning tour, we got lucky and saw a humpback whale close to Lundey island! Esja in the background. After a bit of a search, we found a humpback whale! At some point it even seemed to come and check us out for a little bit so we got to see the whole body through the water!

Preview textOn a grey and windy day we went out to Hafnarfjörður once more, in searching for wildlife - and soon enough we were surprised by a humpback whale. In the afternoon the sea was mildly choppy, nevertheless, our patience paid off when a humpback whale unexpectedly surfaced! It dove quickly, but within a few minutes, it reappeared, taking another deep breath.
